Shining Stars Academy is a Preschool that combines hands-on application, lessons, music and movement, art, and STEAM to create a fun and stimulating learning environment. 

 

Throughout the year, we discover, grow, and learn with concepts such as alphabet mastery, phonics, math, writing, classical and holiday music, art, cooperation, problem solving, social interaction, cultural awareness, phonological awareness, oral language, vocabulary, fine and gross motor skills, science, following instruction, and more - in a structured learning environment.

Children will also be introduced to daily science projects, book awareness, Venn diagrams, and Story Webs.   

​

Our exciting hands-on program includes field trips, in-house field trips, cooking/food experiences, periodic performances, music, games, and activities to reinforce our themes.

​

Our early reading program was developed by Miss Sam and has been extremely successful. Children entering Kindergarten have developed reading skills throughout the year and are able to read from simple words to simple sentences and short age-appropriate books depending on skill level. Entering Kindergartners will have one-on-one time with Miss Sam 1-2 times each week.
